Emily went to her first ballet on Sunday. The children's ballet did a rendition of Beauty and the Beast. Some of those kids can dance like nobody's business! The girl dancing the part of Beauty was probably all of 15, maybe 16. She had amazing extentions with her arms and legs and could pirouette and tour jette like an angel. Emily was in awe and just watching the excitement and wonder on her face as she got her first taste of the beauty that is the performing arts was magical. I can't wait to take her to the Nutcracker this year! Anyway, I captured some pictures of Em before the performance.

Memorial Day:
Technically this was Memorial Day. I was filling up at the gas station at 2 in the morning b/c I couldn't sleep. Am I fashionable enough with my camo shorts, tennie sandals and pedicure?
The budding artist. I tried getting a picture of her with her as she was standing up holding it, but it was too heavy for her and she sat down before I got one on my computer.
Or is it the budding tattoo artist? She loves her Uncle Aaron b/c he plays very rough and tumble with her. He also is the one teaching her to be a world class swimmer someday. Here she is drawing pen tattoos on Aaron's arm and hand. He was the only one who would let her. He also was the only one beside Em who wasn't cooking or preparing anything for Memorial Day eats.
I am a sparkly star today! I felt like dressing kind of festive for Memorial Day so I got out my super comfy sparkly star shirt and wore it.
