Monday Meme

I "borrowed" this meme after seeing on several of my blogfriend's sites. I added a couple on there.

* I AM: a newly divorced single mother of a little girl I love more than life, trying to find her way in the world through all the ramifications of what being a single parent entails while still trying to have a life and honor God through it all.

* I WANT: nothing more than to be able to be a stay at home mother, but right now, I’d settle for 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep and a deep tissue massage for my back and neck.

* I WISH: sometimes I would have made different choices in my past, but then I look at who I have become and what I have learned through those mistakes/issues/problems and know that I have learned much and have become a much stronger person today than I would have been otherwise.

* I HATE: injustice, persecution and abuse of any kind.

* I LOVE: my daughter unconditionally and unequivocally. She is my heart, my life and my joy. :)

* I MISS: the feel of cuddling up with someone, feeling their arms holding me as I listen to the beat of their heart under my ear.

* I FEAR: depths. I have no fear of heights, but it’s what I can’t see below me that really creeps me out. I could never be a deep sea diver. *SHUDDERS*

*I ENJOY: Motorcycles. The rumble of a motorcycle, especially a Harley(!) can really get me going. *Sighs in appreciation*

* I HEAR: "you knocking
But you can't come in.
I hear you knocking,
Go back to where you've been."

* I WONDER: if I will ever find anyone who will truly accept and love me for me, flaws and all and who will cherish me.
Main Entry: cher•ish
Pronunciation: 'cher-ish
Function: transitive verb
Etymology: Middle English cherisshen, from Middle French cheriss-, stem of cherir to cherish, from Old French, from chier dear, from Latin carus
1 a : to hold dear : feel or show affection for b : to keep or cultivate with care and affection : NURTURE
2 : to entertain or harbor in the mind deeply and resolutely
synonym see APPRECIATE
3: to feel passion, devotion, or tenderness for -- see LOVE

* I REGRET: not saying things to certain people when I had the chance to and saying some things to people that I should have held my tongue over.

* I AM NOT: really cut out for the single life, but with a small child in this day and age one has to be soooo very careful about the choices that are made. Every decision I make affects her and not just me.

* I DANCE: extremely well. I used to teach dance many years ago and have been thinking about getting into it again. It was the BEST way to exercise and stay fit.

* I SING: everywhere – especially in the car, but my favorite is singing lullabies to Emily at night.

* I CRY: very rarely. I have so many repressed emotions and feelings that if I cry it is difficult for me to stop and I end up coming down with a cold/fever/etc. b/c of all the toxins I'm letting out. I cried two weekends ago for the first time in probably over 2 years.

* I AM NOT ALWAYS: as together as I seem.

* I MAKE WITH MY HANDS: words that touch the hearts of others (writer/poet). But on a more tangible level – jewelry with natural semi-precious gemstones and freshwater pearls.

* I WRITE: letters to try and explain myself better to someone. I write better than I talk b/c sometimes my brain is going faster than my tongue wants to.

* I CONFUSE: some words and letters sometimes. It makes me wonder at times if I have a minimal dyslexia problem. My brain will read one thing but my fingers type something a little different. The output is not always the same as the input.

* I NEED: to learn to let go and trust God to provide for my needs instead of trying to do so much on my own.

* I SHOULD: try and remember that I can't adequately care for Emily if I don't take care of myself – and – also that other's reactions toward me may not always be what they mean so I shouldn't take it personally until I know the real story.

* I START: getting extremely high blood pressure when Matt tries to upset me – I can FEEL it happening.

* I FINISH: most paperbacks in about 3-4 hours. I'm a speed reader who's been reading since the age of 3.

* I TAG: whomever would like to do it :)

I like how you did it so emotionally. When I did mine: I just answered off the top of my head: no real thought or reason. This was enjoyable to read.

3 to 4 hours to finish a paperback! Impressive!

By the way, I've updated Bill Johnson's Blog, in case you're interested.

WOW! I just found you thru Berrymom and I am so glad I did. I resonate with a lot of what you said here.

Sorry for your recent divorce, I'm a single mom too. Your daughter is blessed to have a mom who loves her so much, its hard, but it will work out.

I can't wait to read more of your blog.
