Just when you think you've seen every trick the Internet can offer, along comes an amazing advancement like Monk-e-Mail. Choose and dress one of three chimpanzees in an office -- a boss, a co-worker or a receptionist and make him / her stylish with new clothes, hairdo, glasses, and background. Then, select a voice track or type a text message and then choose a pre-recorded message for your monkey to speak out loud before sending the monk-e-mail to a friend. Pre-recorded message include a kiss-off to a butt-kisser, or a song for the co-worker who wears too much cologne. Better yet, record a personalized phone or computer-microphoned message and you will be aped. (Some features work with Internet Explorer for Windows only.) It is interesting how you can use punctuation to influence the intonation of the synthesized voice.
If you feel your messages are not being heard by conventional email, take a moment and give Monk-e-Mail a try. Send it to people you love (or not).

From which country(s) are some (or all) of your ancestors?
Well it depends on which ancestors you’re talking about. My biological ancestors were American Indian, French, English, Spanish and there’s one more in there that I always forget. I am the Heinz 57 special blend
My adopted family (the only one I’ve ever known b/c I was adopted from birth) are all from Holland. My grandparents on my mom’s side immigrated from the Netherlands as children. My great-grandparents on my dad’s side immigrated from the Netherlands as young adults, I believe.

How would you describe your sneeze?
Usually violent – almost never dainty. It depends on if it sneaks up on me or I sneeze more than 3-4 times in a row, then it comes out very loud. If I can feel it coming and it’s only a few times I can do the "silent sneeze". My sneezes sound like coughs for some reason. Very few people can tell the difference so I rarely get a "bless you" when I sneeze.

What is the last thing you cleaned?
The last thing I cleaned would have been the stove LATE last night after making homemade guacamole for 75 people for the Cinco de Mayo festival today at work. There was avocado residue on top of the stove – which is white.

Who made the strongest first impression on you?
Seeing my daughter for the first time notwithstanding – three people in my life. This is in chronological order:
1. The person that I was seriously involved with from Kansas City back in the early-mid 90's. I was instantly smitten and he drew my attention like nobody else and kept it for years – even after we were finished. He changed the way I view relationships and that's both for the good and the bad. He colored my world in a way that no one else has come close to doing.
2. My dearest friend MC. My first concrete memory of her was at a Taco Cabana during lunch when we were in training in 1996. She and another girl were "vigorously discussing" the gay lifestyle. The first of MC’s brothers had just "come out of the closet" so she was very sensitive about the subject and this other girl was being extremely rude. I thought it was an unfair argument b/c this other girl was basically ganging up on MC and trying to get others to do the same. At the time MC was rather heavy but extremely attractive and this other girl was petite and curvy and one of those people who felt a sense of entitlement b/c she was "cute" – former cheerleader, homecoming queen, etc. I felt it was such a gross display of "I'm the cute one so I'm right" that I jumped right in and stated that a report that had been done on 20/20 the night before gave the results of a scientific study regarding the DNA of a "straight" person and someone of the homosexual persuasion and that the results of the study showed a definite anomaly in the genes of the person who was gay. I cited statistics and quotes from the researchers in the scientific field who had spent years on the study. Nobody else talked while I was talking, which was a far cry from the melee that was going on when MC and this other girl were "discussing". By the time I was done the other girl just said a quiet "oh" and that was the end of that discussion. MC and I became friends after that, she said that she had thought I was nothing but beauty and fluff (all style no substance) until then when she found out that I was actually one of the smartest people she knew (which means a lot coming from a MENSA member), and I found out that she was one of the most fascinating, witty, intelligent and kindest people I have ever met. That friendship has continued and grown into the best friendship I have ever had, one that I treasure and cherish.
3. Matt. He is the only person who ever made me do a double take the first time I saw him. He was charming, witty and warm. Unfortunately he stopped showing that side to me and started showing it to someone else after we were married.

Name one thing you want to accomplish in your lifetime.
I’ve already accomplished it. The most important thing to me since I was a child was to be a mother and I am a mother to the biggest blessing I have ever received. She is a true gift, answer to prayer and miracle. I got pregnant having been on bc for 10 years AND after I had her I found out I had a severe hormonal anomaly/imbalance that makes it nearly impossible for me to get pregnant, only I never knew I had it b/c the bc had balanced out the imbalance but still left me with the (almost) inability to become pregnant – or so I thought. I am grateful and thankful beyond words now since Em is most likely the only child I will ever be able to have.

And Finally...
I need to send a shout out to my very dear friend Great White Bear. He called me on something earlier in the week that he was absolutely right to call me on. My emotions were running high and I posted something that was in poor taste and, as GWB said, was beneath me. That has since been removed. GWB, never thought you’d be my conscience, but I'm glad that you stepped up and became that. I needed it and I'm sorry. I'm thankful for friends like you who keep me in line, so to speak! True friends tell the truth, even when the truth is a little painful at times.

I'm sorry too, I could probably have been a bit more tactful. I have lots of really great qualities, but tact isn't alway one of them.
ps this is also what makes you so special. Most people would have either blown it off or gotten angry. You have an amazing self awareness. That is such a cool thing.
That Monk-e-mail sounds like just the thing to annoy my co-workers with! And I also know a little girl who is a money fanatic so I could send her one as well. Sounds like fun, thanks! And hello from Michele!
This Friday feast is becoming so popular, I like it. I sneeze very lady-unlike: loud, but can't help it! here via Michele's
